.. If you purchased Bernard Bragg tickets via Pay Pal, and would like a refund, the time in which to request one via Pay Pal is limited (60 Days). Any refunds issued after that will have to be sent via US Mail. Because so few people responded to our initial notice regarding post-poning the show, I was growing concerned that people would be expecting refunds, and for whatever reason, I had not received their request. Dr. Braggs manager has stated that the show is post-poned, not cancelled. While the performance has not yet been resecheduled, I have asked Dr. Bragg's manager for an update and anticipate his reply shortly..

" The goal of USDB’s Jean Massieu School of the Deaf (JMS) is to provide the best linguistic, curricular and cultural education for students through an ASL/English Bilingual Program. American Sign Language (ASL) and written English are used for instruction and interaction. Both ASL and English are viewed as languages of equal importance.

Teachers/staff use ASL to instruct and communicate directly with their students on a daily basis." JMS Students are provided every tool to succeed and excel now and in the future, including speech services.

Ms. Michelle Tanner has been actively involved in Deaf Education for over 14 years as a teacher, USDBEA President, and Advisory Council member. She has a bachelors in Special Education and Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education with an endorsement in Communicative Disorders/Deaf Education.

STUDENTS NEED TO KNOW:

The 2011-2012 School Year is upon us and we're ready to go! We are so excited to start a new year... Our goal this year is to keep our website update and keep you informed and in touch with all the PTA happenings, follow our playground fundraiser progress, find meetings, activities and much, much more. Our website is designed to serve as a hub for information and resources for parents, teachers and students. Our PTA is designed, in part, to expand parent and community involvement in our school.
